About the Author, Kristina Lackey

Hello! I'm Kristina Lackey, a loving mother of three and the creator of the Side By Side, We Shine series.

The inspiration for this book came from my own life. I was often the shoulder to cry on and the voice of reason for many young girls in my neighborhood. Having always seen people and personality types as colors, I shared this perspective to help them make sense of the confusing interpersonal relationships that impact them to this day.

I wrote this book to help children understand themselves and others. I want kids to learn about themselves, explore new ways of being, and feel confident in the beautiful person they really are.
